Fifth Day of Turkey’s Syria intervention explained

Although Turkey’s released infomap on its fifth day of operations in Syria states that civilians are not targeted as part of Euphrates Shield, it has not acknowledged either that over 35 civilians were killed by Turkish airstrikes and artillery in villages south of Jarabulus.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Although Turkey’s released infomap on its fifth day of operations in Syria states that civilians are not targeted as part of Euphrates Shield, it has not acknowledged either that over 35 civilians were killed by Turkish airstrikes and artillery in villages south of Jarabulus.

It was a busy day however for the Free Syrian Army and Turkey-backed Islamist proxies who captured many villages from Kurdish YPG forces.

Many weapons left behind by the YPG are now in Islamist hands.

The Islamist proxies have reached the Sajur river and have mostly headed in a southward direction.
